Absentee ballots are available to qualified Bronxville voters to participate in the Bronxville school board election on May 17, 2022.
A qualified voter is a U.S. citizen, 18 years or older as of May 17, 2022, claiming principal residency in the Village of Bronxville for at least 30 days prior to May 17, 2022, and not otherwise prohibited from voting under the provisions of NYS Election Law.
To receive an absentee ballot, a qualified voter must complete and submit an application that is available for download on the school board’s website:
The completed application can be submitted two different ways:
1. Email to: clourentzatos@bronxvilleschool.org
2. Mailed to: CONNIE LOURENTZATOS
DISTRICT CLERK
BRONXVILLE SCHOOL
177 Pondfield Road
Bronxville, NY 10708
The absentee ballot application deadline is May 10th. But voters need to reserve time for the application to be mailed to them, populated by the voter, then mailed back to the school district and received by 5:00pm on May 17th on the election day to be counted, so we recommend interested voters submit their applications ASAP.
If the voter is not registered with the County Board of Elections or requesting a ballot be sent to another address (college dormitory or second home), please include a picture of a valid license with the Bronxville address. If an absentee ballot is requested by a qualified voter to be sent to a different address, they should include that address in the email.
You may also request an absentee ballot if you are concerned about contracting COVID-19 or for a temporary illness or physical disability. Just check box “A” on the application and write: Potential for contraction of the virus that causes COVID-19 or Temporary Illness or Temporary Physical Disability.
The completed application must be received at least seven days before the election if the absentee ballot is to be mailed to the voter; or by 3:00 p.m., the day before the election if the absentee ballot is to be issued to the voter in person. Absentee Ballots issued can be issued in person until 3:00 PM on the day before the election. Photo ID required. Please call or email District Clerk for appointment. The completed absentee ballot must be received by 5:00 p.m. on the day of the vote/election.
